For the first and last time this workweek, some sunshine will be possible today, but only for part of the day.

This morning, clouds will remain in control. A stray shower cannot be ruled out, especially early on, but most of the area should be dry.

The clouds will slowly break up through the afternoon, with the best chance for sunshine coming in the 1-3 hours before sunset.

Skies will turn clear for a few hours this evening before new clouds lift in from the south.

Winds today will be from the west and southwest at 5-10 mph. Top gusts should be around 20 mph.

Temperatures should claw their way up to near or just over 50 degrees this afternoon. Evening temperatures will quickly fall into the low 40s before the cloud slow the drop. Most of the overnight will be spent in the upper 30s.

Thursday: Cloudy with afternoon rain becoming steady and heavy, then turning to snow overnight. Morning lows in the upper 30s. Afternoon highs in the mid 40s.

Friday: Morning snow coming to an end. A couple slushy inches possible, especially in the hills. Morning lows in the low 30s. Afternoon highs in the mid 30s.

Saturday: Mostly sunny. Morning lows near 20. Afternoon highs in the upper 30s.

Sunday: A little early sun, then increasing clouds and some late showers. Morning lows near 30. Afternoon highs in the low 50s.
