A major pattern shift will take place today, kicking off a prolonged period of quiet, sunny, and mild weather.

South winds kicked in overnight and rose temperatures a couple degrees from last evening. Bright sunshine will help the south winds along in rising temperatures throughout the day.

Clouds will be nearly impossible to find today, and precipitation is out of the picture completely.

The south wind will blow at 5-10 mph through the day with gusts of 20-25 mph. The wind will remain steady into the evening and overnight hours.

Temperatures will top out in the upper 50s to near 60 degrees this afternoon. Despite clear skies, temperatures will be slow to drop through the 40s this evening.
