Your Cortland County weather forecast for Sunday, November 22, 2020:
A warm front will lift north through the region today, bringing a chance for some light precipitation.
There will be plenty of dry air at the surface for the precipitation to overcome, so it may be hard to get it to the ground before it evaporates.
For that reason, expect only a few light snow showers during the latter half of the morning and a few spits of light rain during the afternoon.
Skies will be cloudy throughout the day with little to no sunshine breaking through.
Temperatures will rise to the mid 30s this morning and remain there through the late afternoon. As the front moves through, upper 30s will start to show up around dinnertime. Evening temperatures will then rise to, and eventually above 40 degrees.
Winds will be from the southeast today, starting at 5-10 mph through the daytime hours. Tonight, winds will increase while becoming a bit more southerly, with speeds near 15 mph and gusts to 35 mph
