Your Cortland County weather forecast for Tuesday, November 24, 2020:

For the first half of today, spotty lake effect snow showers will be possible.

None of the snow should be very heavy and only a few areas will see a light coating of accumulation. The snow will gradually become lighter and less frequent through the morning.

After the flurries taper off, clouds will remain in place for most of the afternoon. If there are any breaks of sun, they will likely come in the mid-afternoon. A new area of clouds will start working in by the late afternoon.

Winds will be from the northwest at 5-10 mph this morning before dropping to under 5 mph by the mid-afternoon.

High temperatures will stick in the mid 30s with little in the way of sunshine and no warming winds.

Winds will increase back into the 5-10 mph range this evening, coming from the southeast, then south.

Some light snow will work in after midnight with accumulations under an inch by dawn Wednesday.

Friday: Cloudy with some light rain showers or drizzle. Morning lows in the low 40s. Afternoon highs in the upper 40s.

Saturday: Mostly cloudy. Maybe a rain shower. Morning lows in the mid 30s. Afternoon highs in the mid 40s.
