Cortland Weather Outlook: Friday, December 4

Your Cortland County weather forecast for Friday, December 4, 2020:

Two different weather features will approach Cortland County today, one from the south and the other from the north.

Despite this, precipitation will be limited during the daytime hours as neither system exerts itself fully in our region.

Clouds will be plentiful and some stray morning flurries or afternoon showers will be possible. Any precipitation that falls should be light.

Winds will be from the south at 5-10 mph with the occasional gust eclipsing 20 mph.

High temperatures will be in the low 40s over the higher elevations in the northern half of the county with mid 40s across the southern half.

A few scattered rain and snow showers will continue into the evening and overnight hours. Winds will turn to the north as the northern weather system gets absorbed by the southern system.
