Cortland Weather Outlook: Thursday, December 17

Your Cortland County weather forecast for Thursday, December 17, 2020:

The first winter storm of the season will wind down and come to an end this morning.
The snow should end sometime between 8-10 AM, though a few lingering flurries may fall into the midday hours.

As the storm pulls away, skies should turn partly cloudy this afternoon. The sunshine will help improve travel conditions, which will continue to be rough this morning.

Light winds at around 5 mph will blow today, first from the northeast this morning, then from the north this afternoon. Top gusts should be around 15 mph, so blowing and drifting snow will not be a major concern.
