An area of low pressure will pass to the north today, mainly bringing in precipitation after sunset.

There is a small window this morning for a few snow showers. Some of this could mix with sleet, if it even arrives in Cortland County. Anything that does fall will be brief with little impact.

The rest of the daytime hours will be mostly cloudy, though a few brief glimpses of sunshine will be possible. These are most likely in the late morning and early afternoon.

South winds will increase through the morning, ending up between 10-15 mph this afternoon. Top gusts should be over 30 mph.

Temperatures will manage to reach the mid 30s but will fall back into the low 30s this evening. More widespread precipitation will move in, some falling as rain, some as snow, and a few pockets of freezing rain or sleet.
