A small impulse of atmospheric energy will swing through the area today, leading to more clouds and a few snow showers.

Clouds will be thick through the day with snow showers arriving for the midday and early afternoon hours. Only a light coating of accumulation is expected, with snow moving out by the mid-afternoon.

More cloudy skies are expected behind the snow showers for the late afternoon and evening hours.

Winds will be from the south throughout the day at around 5 mph. A turn to the west is expected this evening, with speeds remaining around 5 mph. Top gusts will be around 15 mph.

Temperatures will top out in the low to mid 30s today. Most places should be above 32 degrees, but not higher than 35 degrees.

Evening temperatures will fall back into the mid 20s and should remain there overnight.
