Your Cortland County weather forecast for Tuesday, January 12, 2021:

Skies will be mixed today with the only chances for precipitation coming from some limited lake effect.

Parts of today will likely end up cloudy and grey, but the overcast will break up for other parts, allowing some glimpses of sunshine.

A wind shift late in the day may bring a few flurries in from the northwest.

Most areas will not see snow though, and those that do will have no accumulation.

Winds will be from the southwest at around 5 mph form much of the day before bouncing a bit more westerly for a time late in the afternoon and early this evening.

Ultimately, though, winds will return to the southwest overnight.

Daytime temperatures will top out near or just above 30 degrees. Evening and overnight temperatures will drop into and remain in the mid 20s.

Friday: Periods of sun, transitioning to clouds. A few rain or snow showers late. Morning lows in the mid 20s. Afternoon highs in the mid 40s.

Saturday: A few showers or flurries early. Maybe some sun late. Morning lows near 30. Afternoon highs near 40.
