Your Cortland County weather forecast for Thursday, January 14, 2021:

A small disturbance will swing by this morning, possibly bringing some snow showers.

The best chance for snow showers will be through the morning and into the midday hours. Southern parts of the county are more likely to see flurries than the north, but most areas should see at least a little snow.

Accumulations will be limited to a coating, and a little rain could even mix in by the time it tapers off.

Behind the snow, skies will remain cloudy through the afternoon and early evening before breaking up some overnight.

Winds will be variable, starting from the southwest, becoming more westerly, going nearly calm, and finally ending up from the southeast this evening. Wind speeds will be near or under 5 mph.

Temperatures will push into the mid 30s this afternoon before dropping to around 30 this evening. Overnight temperatures will slip back into the upper 20s.

Sunday: Scattered lake effect snow showers. Morning lows in the upper 20s. Afternoon highs near 30.

Monday: Scattered lake effect snow showers. Morning lows in the low 20s. Afternoon highs in the upper 20s.
