Today’s weather will be quiet for much of the time until a weather system pushes precipitation in this evening.

Clouds will be rather thick today, but some periods of filtered sunshine will be possible. The clouds should become thicker late in the afternoon as the system approaches.

Southeast winds of 10-15 mph will blow throughout the day and into the evening. Top gusts will be during the afternoon at around 30 mph.

High temperatures will reach into the low 40s this afternoon but will drop into the mid 30s after sunset.

No precipitation will fall before sunset, but this evening, rain and snow showers will move in. These will continue throughout the night, with the snow becoming dominant as temperatures drop to the low 30s.

By Saturday morning, some places, especially in higher terrain, could have an inch or two of snow accumulation.

Sunday: On and off lake effect snow. Morning lows in the mid 20s. Afternoon highs near 30.

Monday: Morning lake effect snow showers. Maybe some afternoon sun. Morning lows in the low 20s. Afternoon highs in the mid 20s.

Tuesday: Cloudy with snow showers. Morning lows in the low 20s. Afternoon highs in the upper 10s.
