After a cold start, clouds will thicken as a complex weather pattern begins to evolve over the Northeastern United States.

The sun will be able to shine through the clouds this morning and into the afternoon. A gradual reduction in the sunshine should take place as clouds become thicker.

Snow showers may even arrive this evening as low pressure tracks through the Ohio Valley and begins to redevelop along the East Coast. No precipitation is expected for the daytime hours, though.

Temperatures will make their way into the low 20s this afternoon. A drop back into the upper teens is likely this evening.

Winds will be light from the east, starting out under 5 mph this morning and slowly reaching 5 mph during the later afternoon. Gusts will max out around 10 mph.

Monday: Cloudy. Possibly some early snow, with more snow after sunset. Morning lows in the mid teens. Afternoon highs in the upper 20s.

Tuesday: Snow, possibly with moderate to heavy accumulations. Uncertainty remains high. Morning lows around 20. Afternoon highs in the mid 20s.

Wednesday: Snow showers. Morning lows around 20. Afternoon highs in the low 20s.

Thursday: Sunny with some late clouds. Morning lows in the mid 10s. Afternoon highs in the low 30s.
