Your Cortland County weather forecast for Saturday, February 13, 2021:
A weak weather system will move into the region today, but snow will have a hard time overcoming dry air.
Clouds will be in place throughout the day, though some sunshine may penetrate the clouds this morning. Any filtered sunshine should be short lived as the clouds continue to thicken.
A little snow may start to fall lightly in the afternoon, but most likely, the dry air will prevent anything appreciable from falling until after sunset.
Through the evening and overnight, steady light snow will fall, accumulating an inch or two of fluff by Sunday morning.
Winds will continue to be light with speeds under 5 mph. The little breeze there is will come in from the northeast during the day before turning to the southeast tonight.
Afternoon temperatures will get into the upper teens or maybe even near 20 degrees. Temperatures will hold in the mid teens overnight with the clouds and snowfall.
