High pressure will pass through the region today, giving us quiet conditions and some sunshine.

Lake effect clouds and perhaps a stray flurry will gradually dissipate through the morning. Skies will become increasingly sunny until the late afternoon, when some thin overcast begins to move in from the southwest.

Outside of any stray morning flurries, no other precipitation is expected.

Winds will be from the northwest at 5-10 mph this morning, dropping to around 5 mph for the afternoon. Morning gusts will be 20-25 mph, but afternoon gusts will be around 10 mph.

Cool air settling in on the northwest winds will keep highs to the low 20s despite the increasing sunshine. The incoming clouds this evening hold temperatures steady after an initial drop to around 10 degrees.

Thursday: Snow arrives by midday and falls steadily. Daytime accumulations of 1-3 inches, with that much again overnight. Morning lows around 10. Afternoon highs in the mid 20s.

Friday: On and off snow showers. Morning lows in the upper teens. Afternoon highs in the upper 20s.

Saturday: Lake effect snow showers. Morning lows in the upper teens. Afternoon highs in the mid 20s.

Sunday: Sunny with some late clouds. Morning lows in the low teens. Afternoon highs in the mid 20s.
