Your Cortland County weather forecast for Tuesday, February 23, 2021:

Another day, another shot of snow for Cortland County.

Like yesterday, a relatively small disturbance will move through our region today with a burst of snow.

The snow will again start in the morning and come down steadily for several hours. Travel conditions will again become sloppy and untreated surfaces will be slick.

Accumulations will also be similar to yesterday, with a general one to three inches.

The snow will taper off to scattered snow showers and flurries for the afternoon, and most of these should end by the evening.

South and southwest winds will blow at 5-10 mph through the morning and early afternoon. Later in the afternoon, winds will turn to the west-northwest and increase to 10-15 mph.

Gusts around 30 mph will be possible, causing blowing and drifting of the snow.

Temperatures will top out in the mid 30s. Evening temperatures will dip to the low 30s. Overnight, temperatures will eventually work into the upper 20s.

Wednesday: Sun and clouds. Some evening rain or snow showers. Morning lows in the upper 20s. Afternoon highs in the mid 40s.

Thursday: Sun and clouds. Maybe an early flurry. Morning lows in the mid 20s. Afternoon highs in the low 30s.

Friday: Sunny. Morning lows near 10. Afternoon highs in the mid 30s.

Saturday: Rain showers. Maybe a little snow mixing in early. Morning lows near 20. Afternoon highs in the low 40s.
