Cincinnatus boys defeat Otselic Valley for the second time this season

The Cincinnatus Lions defeated Otselic Valley for the second time this season on Wednesday night.

The Lions got off to a hot start on both sides of the court, outscoring Otselic Valley 20-6 in the opening quarter. By the end of the half, Cincinnatus had a 39-20 lead.

In the second half, Cincinnatus continued pressing Otselic Valley with a full court man to man defense.  With Cincinnatus having the hot hand throughout the game, the Lions were then able to get away with a 65-38 win over Otselic Valley.

“We shot the ball as well as we could expect, which was a product of moving without the ball offensively, and being patient and finding the open man,” said Cincinnatus Head Coach Jim Halstrom. “That was a complete game for this young team, we know what we’re capable of doing when we can play with that intensity and focus.”

Scott Schuyler led the Lions with 18 points on the night. Following Schuyler were Kooper Vosburg with 16 points, Cason Stafford with 14 points, and Tyler Liddle with 12 points.

Otselic Valley was led by Lane Adams with 15 points and Garrett Wood with 11 points.

Up next, the Lions will host Mcgraw at 6pm tonight (March 4th).
