Cortland Weather Outlook: Thursday, March 4

snow, partly cloudy, sun

Your Cortland County weather forecast for Thursday, March 4, 2021:

High pressure will build in today, but northwest winds will keep lake effect clouds in the area.

The chances for snow will be greatest this morning, but most of the lake effect will be to the west with winds more northerly. A gradual shift in the winds to the northwest will take place through the morning and into the afternoon.

The winds will increase once they become northwesterly, reaching speeds of 10-15 mph. Top gusts will be around 30 mph.

Temperatures will spend most of the day in the mid 20s. A drop through the teens is likely this evening with upper single digits overnight.
