McGraw Girls Celebrate Senior Night by Taking Down Otselic Valley

The McGraw varsity girls basketball team took down Otselic Valley (49-7) on Friday, improving their record to 5-0.

It was a special occasion for the McGraw Eagles who celebrated their four seniors Karissa Wilbur, Alexis Stiles, Elyssa Fish, and Emily Fish on the win.

“It was a great win for our four seniors who have played together since sixth grade,” said McGraw Head Coach Corey Wilson. “They were very grateful for the opportunity to play this year and have shown great team basketball this year. This team would have contended for a league title and I think would have done well in sectionals.”

The Eagles took charge on the floor from tip off, getting away with a comfortable 30-3 lead at the end of the half to then win the game.

Alexis Stiles led McGraw with 12 points on the night. Following Stiles were Karissa Wilbur with 10 points, Hannah Wilson with 9 points, and Elyssa Fish with 9 points.

“I'm very proud of our girls how they play the game for each other and are always positive towards each other,” stated Coach Wilbur.

Up next, the Eagles will travel to Marathon for an exciting Cortland County matchup today (March 6th) at 1pm.
