McGraw Boys Basketball Team Beats Otselic Valley on Senior Night

The McGraw varsity boys basketball team took down Otselic Valley with a score of 68-52 at home, as they celebrated their seniors Monday night. 

The McGraw Golden Eagles recognized a total of seven players (Caleb Smith, Nick Potter, Zach Lamarre, Mike Levitskiy, Caleb Knickerbocker, Mason Eaton, and Hayden Albro) along with senior Manager Charlie Greenman in the game. 

The Eagles started things off on the right foot, outscoring Otselic Valley 18-8 in the opening quarter. McGraw would go on to have a 9 point lead (26-17) at the end of the half. 

McGraw went on to finish Senior Night on a positive note by taking over in the second half, scoring over 20 points in each of the final two quarters to beat Otselic Valley.

Zach Lamarre led the Eagles with a career high of 23 points on the night. Following Lamarre were Caleb Smith with 14 points and Caleb Knickerbocker with an 11 point and 10 rebound double-double. 

All of Mcgraw’s seniors were able to get on the scoreboard. Nick Potter scored 6 points, Mason Eaton scored 4 points,  Mike Levitskiy scored 4 points, and Hayden Albro scored 2 points. 

Otselic Valley was led by Braden Davis with 23 points and Lane Adams with 22 points. 

Up next, the Eagles will be closing out their season with a rematch against Otselic Valley on the road on Friday, March 12th. Tip-off is at 6:30pm.
