Cortland Weather Outlook: Monday, March 15

Your Cortland County weather forecast for Monday, March 15, 2021:

A chilly high pressure will dominate our weather today.

Skies will be sunny most of the day. The two exceptions will be a few lingering clouds early this morning and some thin clouds that will arrive toward sunset and persist into the evening.

Nonetheless, no precipitation is expected during the daytime or nighttime hours today.

Winds will still be on the blustery side this morning, coming from the northwest at around 15 mph. For a few hours after sunrise, gusts over 30 mph will be possible.

The wind will gradually slow down, and by this evening, should be nearly calm as the center of the high pressure system passes overhead.

Despite the sunshine, temperatures will be held in check by the cool northwesterly flow. Look for highs in the mid and upper 20s.

Temperatures this evening will slip back to around 20 and will remain there overnight as a southeasterly breeze develops.
