A weakening weather system will approach the area today with a little light afternoon precipitation.

For the morning, this system will bring thickening clouds, but no precipitation. The first bit of precipitation to move in will be in the midday or early afternoon as a brief bit of snow.

After that, a few flurries or perhaps some drizzle will linger through the afternoon and into the evening and overnight hours. A few areas could slip below 32 degrees, leading to some freezing drizzle.

That would most likely come in the evening, following afternoon highs in the upper 30s.

South-southeast winds will blow at 5-10 mph throughout the day and into the evening. Top gusts will be just over 20 mph.

Wednesday: Morning drizzle. Then clouds and eventually some late sunshine. Morning lows near 30. Afternoon highs near 50.

Thursday: Cloudy with afternoon rain. Perhaps some wet snow overnight. Morning lows in the low 30s. Afternoon highs in the low 40s.

Friday: Increasing sunshine. Morning lows around 20. Afternoon highs around 30.

Saturday: Sunny. Morning lows in the upper teens. Afternoon highs in the mid 40s.
