High pressure will meander through the area today, cutting off the supply of cold air and allowing temperatures to rise.

With the core of the cold shifting east, milder temperatures will be allowed to slide into the region. This will be the case despite continued northwest winds at 5-10 mph.

High temperatures this afternoon will rise to around or just above 50 degrees. Aiding the warm up will be another day of start to finish sunshine. Clouds will be scarce to non-existent.

Clear skies will persist into tonight and winds will go calm as the center of the high passes overhead.

Temperatures will retreat through the 30s this evening and into the 20s overnight.
