Cortland Weather Outlook: Saturday, March 27

Your Cortland County weather forecast for Saturday, March 27, 2021:

Today will be a quieter day between weather systems. Yesterday’s storm is well out to sea and tomorrow’s activity is just starting to take shape over the Midwest.

A shift in the wind this morning will bring in a few clouds. These should clear out for the afternoon, though some thin cirrus will also develop.

All in all, the morning will be cloudier, and the afternoon sunnier. No precipitation will fall.

The wind shift will take the wind from the northwest and turn it to the south. Speeds will be light, around or under 5 mph. Gusts will only be near 15 mph.

Temperatures this afternoon will warm into the upper 50s thanks to the shifting winds and sunshine.

Tonight, temperatures will hold steady in the mid and upper 40s, thanks to the continued south winds. Skies will start clear, but clouds will gradually move back in overnight.

Here is a look at the weather for the next several days:

Sunday: Periods of rain. Becoming breezy. Maybe some wet evening snow. Morning lows in the mid 40s. Afternoon highs in the low 50s.

Monday: Increasing sunshine. Still breezy. Morning lows near 30. Afternoon highs in the low 40s.
