Cortland County to hold first dose COVID vaccination clinics this week

Following the announcement Monday that New Yorker’s age 30 and older are eligible for the COVID vaccine, Cortland County is holding two vaccine clinics this week at the SUNY Cortland Ice Arena.

On Wednesday March 31st, the County Health Department in conjunction with Guthrie Cortland Medical Center will be holding a first dose vaccine clinic from 3 PM to 6 PM and Thursday April 1st from 11 AM to 4 PM.

These clinics are for anyone in 1a and 1b eligibility groups, which now includes age 30 and older. You must have an appointment to receive a vaccine at this clinic. To register for an appointment on Wednesday, please log on at:

Additionally, New York State has announced universal eligibility will begin for anyone 16 years or older beginning April 6th. To date, Cortland County has continued to receive the Moderna vaccine, which is restricted to those 18 years and older per the manufacturer’s requirements.
