Your Cortland County weather forecast for Wednesday, April 7, 2021:

A warm front will slowly work its way through the area today but with few noticeable impacts.

Skies will be mostly sunny for most of this morning and even into the early afternoon. As we head into the latter part of the day, some clouds will increase. However, most of these will be thin and should allow at least some sun to shine through.

No precipitation will fall from the clouds with a dry atmosphere still in place.

Winds will be light and variable today with speeds under 5 mph. The winds that do blow will likely have some sort of an easterly component, but will likely be from the northeast, east, and southeast at different times throughout the day.

Temperatures will add a few more degrees onto yesterday’s highs by reaching the mid 60s this afternoon. Evening temperatures will fall back into the mid 40s before ending up near 40 overnight.

Friday: Sun and clouds, maybe with a few showers. Morning lows in the low 40s. Afternoon highs in the low 60s.

Saturday: More clouds than sun. Morning lows in the mid 40s. Afternoon highs in the low 70s.

Sunday: Morning rain. Some afternoon sun. Morning lows in the low 50s. Afternoon highs in the mid 60s.
