Marathon Varsity Boys Soccer Team Improves to 4-2 on the Season After Defeating Groton

The Marathon Olympians defeated Groton 8-0 at home Tuesday afternoon to improve to 4-2 on the shortened season. 

The Olympians were dominant as soon as the whistle was blown to start the game. They kept possession of the ball for most of the game, and did not allow Groton to get one shot on goal. 

At the end of the first half, Marathon had a comfortable 3-0 lead. In the second half, the Olympians were able to take more shots and they scored five additional goals to win the game. 

Marathon ended the game with 26 shots and 14 corner kicks. 

The Olympians were led by Braeden Morrison (3 goals & 2 assist), Bryce Hartman (2 goals), Sam Castellot (1 goal & 1 assist), Ethan Morrison (1 goal), Bryce Howe (1 goal), Joey Hulbert (1 assist), Evan Larrabee (1 assist), and Tim Potter (1 assist).
