Cortland Weather Outlook: Friday, April 9

Your Cortland County weather forecast for Friday, April 9, 2021:

A weak warm front will move into the area today, ironically keeping temperatures cooler than yesterday and tomorrow.

Accompanying the front will be plenty of clouds today. A few scattered rain showers will be possible as well, particularly during the latter half of the morning and the early afternoon, and again late in the afternoon.

A few glimpses of sunshine will be possible between showers, but these should be few and far between.

Winds will remain from the south today at or just above 10 mph. Gusts will reach 25-30 mph, especially over higher elevations.

Temperatures may be able to sneak into the 60s when it is not raining, but much of the day will get stuck in the 50s. Any sun that manages to come out will help give temperatures an extra boost.

South winds will persist through the overnight and at least partial cloud cover is likely. Temperatures will fall to near or just under 50 degrees this evening and remain steady through the overnight.
