Cortland Weather Outlook: Monday, April 12

Your Cortland County weather forecast for Monday, April 12, 2021:

Very little has changed in the atmosphere compared to yesterday, leading to more showery weather.

As low pressure spins over the Great Lakes without moving much, Cortland County will remain stuck in belt of moisture feeding into the low.

Showers will be around throughout the day as a result. There will be breaks between the showers, but it will by and large be a rainy day.

Southeast winds will blow at around 10 mph, keeping the moisture in place without adding much in the warm of warm air.

The clouds and showers will therefore hold temperatures to the mid and upper 40s this afternoon.

Overnight temperatures will fall just a few degrees to around 40 as rain showers gradually taper off, but clouds remain in place.

Here is a look at the weather for the next several days:

Tuesday: Clouds, a little sun, and scattered rain showers. Morning lows in the upper 30s. Afternoon highs in the upper 50s.

Wednesday: Mostly cloudy. A few scattered showers, especially late. Morning lows in the low 40s. Afternoon highs in the upper 50s.

Thursday: Periods of rain. Morning lows in the low 40s. Afternoon highs in the mid 40s.

Friday: Morning showers, possibly with some wet snow mixing in. Some late sun. Morning lows in the low 30s. Afternoon highs in the mid 40s.
