The McGraw Golden Eagles were able to get a thrilling 1-0 overtime win over their Sectional and County rivals Cincinnatus.

With both teams scoreless at the end of regulation, they went into a sudden death overtime (first goal wins).

With about four minutes into overtime, Nate Stiles scored the winning goal off of a header at the far post. Stiles’ goal was assisted by Jackson Card.

“The seniors on this team have never won against Cincy and we told them before the game that if we are playing for anything this year, it's to win this game,” said McGraw Head Coach Jamey Crumb. “This is their sectionals and Cortland State rivalry game and they have to play like it. It was no easy task, as Cincy controlled much of the middle which they typically do. Cason and Scotty work so well together and move off the ball which makes it difficult to mark.”

“Coming off a good win Friday helped with our confidence coming in, but not letting this team score is a task I wasn't sure we could do,” added Coach Crumb. “They are a great team and it was really a well played game. I am just so proud and happy for these guys, they really deserve it.”

McGraw ended the game with a total of 7 shots and 20 saves from goalkeeper Nolan Knickerbocker; while Cincinnatus had 32 shots and 4 saves from Kooper Vosburg.

McGraw’s Emily Fish scored the final goal of the game off a through ball from Bayley Meade. McGraw ended the game with 24 shots and 4 saves from Jaiden Cortez; while Cincinnatus had 9 shots and 21 saves from Gabriella Taylor.
