Marathon Varsity Boys Soccer Team Wins Fourth Consecutive IAC Championship Title

The Marathon Olympians won their fourth consecutive IAC Championship with 3-0 win over the Trumansburg Raiders on Saturday. This is also Marathon’s 21st overall IAC title.

Marathon took the lead of the game with about seven minutes left in the first half with a goal scored by Braeden Morrison.

The Olympians then added two goals in the second half with goals from Marathon Kaiden Cornell (assisted by Brittan Keller) and Bryce Hartman (assisted by Braeden Morrison) .

Marathon’s defense held the Raiders in check throughout the game to get the shutout win.

Marathon ended the game with 7 shots and 2 saves from keeper Trent Ensign, while Trumansburg had 6 shots and 0 saves. 

This was Marathon’s last game of the shortened season. The Olympians ended their season with an 8-3 overall record.
