An unsettled but mild pattern will continue today as low pressure slowly approaches from the west and a frontal boundary remains nearby.

The best chance for sunshine will be early this morning, but most of the day will be rather cloudy.

The morning hours should stay mostly dry, but the chances for rain will gradually increase. On and off showers are possible through the afternoon, but it should not be a complete washout.

Rain showers will continue into the evening and will likely increase in coverage. A few heavier downpours and perhaps a rumble of thunder will also be possible.

With the front just to the north, winds will be from the south and southeast most of the day. Winds speeds will be between 5-10 mph with gusts to 25 mph.

The front’s position also means warm air will be plentiful. Despite the lack of sun and the rain showers, highs should still be in the mid to upper 60s.

Evening temperatures will drop back into the mid 50s and hold steady through the night.

Thursday: Mostly sunny. Morning lows in the upper 30s. Afternoon highs in the mid 50s.

Friday: Maybe some early sun. Otherwise cloudy with some late rain. Morning lows in the mid 30s. Afternoon highs in the low 50s.
