High pressure over the Great Lakes will result in quiet weather today as temperatures start a slow but steady upward trend.

Some early morning clouds will quickly move out, leaving sunny skies this morning. However, fair weather clouds will start to bubble up by the late morning and persist into the afternoon.

No precipitation is expected from any of these clouds, and skies will go back to clear as the sun sets.

Northwest winds will again be on the blustery side with speeds of 10-15 mph and gusts of 30-35 mph.

Nonetheless, temperatures will be warmer today with highs topping out in the mid 50s. Evening temperatures will quickly fall to the low 40s.

Winds will turn more westerly thereafter. Temperatures will slip back into the upper 30s, but not much further.
