Cortland Weather Outlook: Saturday, May 29

Your Cortland County weather forecast for Saturday, May 29, 2021:

Another cloudy and cool day is ahead as a front remains stalled out to the south.

Thick clouds, a few showers, and some areas of drizzle will continue through the morning hours. The later in the morning it gets, the less the chance for showers.

As low pressure continues to pull away from the area, the atmosphere should dry out some for the afternoon. Sunshine will remain limited to a few glimpses here and there, but no more rain is expected.

Northeast winds will continue to blow steadily at around 10 mph. Occasional gusts could reach as high as 25 mph.

The clouds and winds will ensure it remains much colder than average today with highs getting close to, but possibly failing to reach 50 degrees.

It will remain cloudy tonight, though a few more breaks in the clouds will be possible, especially around midnight. Temperatures will fall back into the low 40s, but if it clears out at all, upper 30s will be possible.

Here is a look at the weather for the next several days:

Monday: A mix of sun and clouds. Maybe a shower. Morning lows in the mid 40s. Afternoon highs in the mid 60s.

Tuesday: Early cloudy leading into afternoon sun. Morning lows in the upper 40s. Afternoon highs in the upper 60s.
