A cloudy, cool pattern will continue today as low pressure passes by to the east.

Plenty of cloud cover is expected throughout the day, though a few glimpses of sunshine will be possible as well. The best chance for seeing some sun will be through the morning hours.

Low pressure will lift north into New England and should be just close enough to spread a few showers into the area. The rain will not be too steady, but on and off periods of light rain should be expected through the afternoon and early evening.

Northeast winds will blow at 5-10 mph. Top gusts on the day will be around 20 mph.

With little sunshine and no warming winds, highs will once again be well below average. Afternoon temperatures will struggle to get beyond 50 degrees.

Tonight, temperatures will fall into the mid 40s early on, then remain steady through the night.

Thursday: Scattered showers and maybe a couple thunderstorms. Morning lows in the upper 50s. Afternoon highs in the low 70s.
