Your Cortland County weather forecast for Monday, May 31, 2021:

Our weather will start to rebound today as the persistent clouds from the weekend are replaced with some sunshine.

A few lingering clouds early this morning will give way to sunshine, and most of the day should remain sunny. A few clouds will be possible here and there, and late in the day, a larger area of thin clouds will move in.

These thin clouds will persist into the evening and overnight hours, but no rain is expected.

Winds will be out of the northwest today at or just above 10 mph. Top gusts will reach 25-30 mph, especially during the first half of the day.

Nonetheless, with the sunshine, temperatures will finally get back into the mid and upper 60s for afternoon highs.

Tuesday: Sun and clouds. Small chance for a stray shower. Morning lows in the upper 40s. Afternoon highs in the upper 60s.

Wednesday: Increasing clouds. Some late showers. Morning lows near 50. Afternoon highs in the low 70s.

Thursday: Scattered showers and maybe a couple thunderstorms. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs in the low 70s.

Friday: Mostly cloudy. A few scattered showers. Morning lows in the low 60s. Afternoon highs in the low 70s.
