High pressure over the western Atlantic Ocean will pump heat into the area while keeping our weather sunny and dry.

Few clouds are expected today with just some passing thin clouds from time to time. Even the usual fair-weather cumulus clouds that usually bubble up in the afternoon will be very limited.

Without the clouds, no precipitation will fall today.

West and southwest winds will blow at around 10 mph with gusts reaching about 25 mph.

Temperatures will rise as a result, reaching a high in the mid 80s. A few hilltops may only reach the low 80s. Dewpoints will be comfortable and should remain in the 50s throughout the day.

Tonight, skies will remain clear and winds will lessen somewhat. Temperatures will make an initial drop to the upper 60s, then a slower decent through the 60s overnight.

Wednesday: Mostly cloudy. A few more showers and thunderstorms. Morning lows in the mid 60s. Afternoon highs in the upper 70s.
