Cortland Weather Outlook: Sunday, June 6

Your Cortland County weather forecast for Sunday, June 6, 2021:

Another sunny, warm day is ahead today as high pressure remains in control.

Clouds will be limited to the occasional patch of thin cirrus clouds and some pop-up afternoon fair weather cumulus clouds. No rain is expected from any of these clouds, though.

Winds today will remain from the southwest but will not be as strong as they were yesterday. Wind speeds should be near or at 10 mph and gusts will max out around 20 mph.

The southwest winds will keep it hot, though. Highs should easily make it into the mid 80s and with a few upper 80s possible.

Dewpoints will stick near or under 60 degrees, so it should not feel too muggy out.

Skies will be clear tonight with temperatures slowly falling through the 70s and into the mid 60s.

Here is a look at the weather for the next several days:

Monday: Morning sun mixing with afternoon fair-weather clouds. Maybe a stray shower or storm. Morning lows in the mid 60s. Afternoon highs in the mid and upper 80s.

Tuesday: Showers and thunderstorms likely, some with heavy rain. Morning lows in the upper 60s. Afternoon highs in the upper 70s.

Wednesday: Mostly cloudy. A few more showers and thunderstorms. Morning lows in the mid 60s. Afternoon highs near 80.

Thursday: Partly cloudy. Maybe a stray shower, especially early. Morning lows in the upper 60s. Afternoon highs near 80.
