Homer Baseball takes down Bishop Ludden & Mexico in double-header

The Homer Trojans ended the regular season with a 10-5 overall record after defeating Bishop Ludden and Westhill on a double-header on Saturday (June 5th). 

The Trojans will now play against Westhill in the Quarterfinal Round of the Section III Class B-1 Tournament tomorrow (Tuesday, June 8th).

Varsity Baseball: Homer vs. Bishop Ludden

The Trojans defeated Bishop Ludden with a score of 6-1. 

Homer was led offensively by Jed Brazo (2 runs), Joey Case ( 1 run & 3 RBI’s), Richard Lambert (1 run & 2 RBI’s), Jacob Atkins (1 run), Jon Barnes (1 run), Zander Johnson (1 RBI). The Trojans defeated Bishop Ludden with a score of 6-1. 

Joey Case also threw a total of 7 strikeouts from the pitching pound. 

Bishop Ludden’s only run of the game was scored by Peter Dunham off an RBI from Michael Masterpole. 

Varsity Baseball: Homer vs. Mexico

Homer took down Mexico 14-0 at home to end their double-header on Saturday. The game went to only five innings. 

In those five innings, Homer pitcher Zander Johnson dominated the pitching mound, throwing a total of 9 strikeouts. 

Homer’s offense was led by Jon Barnes (3 runs), Ryan Poole (2 runs & 3 RBI’s), Tannner Douglass (2 runs & 1 RBI), Richard Lambert (2 runs), Jed Brazo (1 run & 4 RBI’s), Mitchell Earle (1 run & 2 RBI’s), Ian Gilbert (1 run & 1 RBI), Jacob Atkins (1 run), and Michael Grant (1 run).
