Cortland Weather Outlook: Wednesday, June 9

Your Cortland County weather forecast for Wednesday, June 9, 2021:

Humid air will stick around for one more day today.

Like the last two days, dewpoints today will be in the upper 60s and low 70s. The soupy air will make it feel uncomfortable even before accounting for the temperature.

Temperatures will be able to warm more than yesterday thanks to an increase in sunshine and a decrease in showers. In fact, the chances for a dry day are greater than the chances for any rain.

Afternoon highs will top out in the low 80s. Evening temperatures will drop back into the upper 60s. In the hours leading up to dawn, dry air will start to move in, and temperatures will fall further, reaching about 60 degrees.

Winds will remain light with speeds at or under 5 mph. The wind direction will gradually shift from the west to the northwest.

Tonight, winds will continue to shift, becoming northerly, then northeasterly, bringing in the drier air.

Here is a look at the weather for the next several days:

Thursday: Mostly sunny. Morning lows near 60. Afternoon highs in the low 80s.

Friday: Partly cloudy. Maybe a shower or storm. Morning lows in the upper 50s. Afternoon highs in the mid 70s.

Saturday: Sun and clouds. A few scattered showers. Morning lows in the upper 50s. Afternoon highs in the mid 70s.

Sunday: Sun and clouds. Maybe some late thunderstorms. Morning lows in the upper 50s. Afternoon highs in the upper 70s.
