Your Cortland County weather forecast for Tuesday, June 15, 2021:

Low pressure will continue to creep eastward, keeping our skies rather cloudy with the threat for a few showers.

Today will not be a washout, but scattered showers will be possible from time to time throughout much of the day. The late morning and early afternoon have the best chance for showers.

While a rumble of thunder cannot be totally ruled out, the chance for thunderstorms is low.

Late in the afternoon, some sun may break out of the clouds, leading into clearing skies this evening.

Northwest winds will be on the breezy side with speeds of 10-15 mph and gusts to 30 mph.

The clouds and northwest winds will hold temperatures in check. Afternoon highs will be in the upper 60s to perhaps low 70s, and evening temperatures will quickly fall into the 50s and into the 40s overnight.

Friday: Increasing clouds. Morning lows in the upper 40s. Afternoon highs in the upper 70s.

Saturday: Scattered showers and thunderstorms. Morning lows near 60. Afternoon highs in the low 80s.
