A warm front will move into the region today with some afternoon showers.

Clouds will thicken through the morning and skies will be mostly overcast for the afternoon.

Showers will arrive from the west during the mid-afternoon hours. The rain may only last for an hour or two before it quickly pushes east.

Before the front arrives, temperatures will be in the low and mid 70s with dewpoints in the low 50s. Behind the front, dewpoints will jump to near 60 with temperatures remaining also near 60 through the night.

Additional showers and a few thunderstorms will be scattered about during the late afternoon, evening, and overnight hours. The chances for rain and storms will be steady through the overnight, though most of the time it will not be raining.

Winds will be from the southwest at 5-10 mph prior to the front. Behind the front, winds will be more southerly and closer to 10 mph.
