Press release from Tompkins Cortland Community College Athletics.

Tompkins Cortland Community College lacrosse player Chase Kiner (Homer/Homer H.S.) has been voted to the NJCAA All-America Team. He is the first player in the history of the Panthers lacrosse program to be honored as an All-American.

A defender, Kiner joined the Panthers in the fall of 2019 and played in two games in 2020 before the season ended due to the pandemic. He came back in 2021 and started all seven games, helping the Panthers to the program's first Mid-State Athletic Conference championship.

"Chase is a natural leader on and off the field," said Head Coach Zach McMullin. "With his physical presence and athletic ability, he has been Tompkins Cortland's lock down defender for the past two seasons. He has often been tasked with covering the opponent's top offensive player and typically shuts them down with his aggressive play. It has truly been a pleasure to watch him grow from a local high school standout to now a junior college All-American. I'm very proud of Chase!"

Kiner, a Recreation: Exercise Studies major, also earned all-MSAC and all-region honors this season.
