Your Cortland County weather forecast for Saturday, July 3, 2021:

Low pressure will continue to spin to our southeast, bringing showers and thunderstorms into the region yet again.

The chances for rain will gradually increase this morning, with the best chance for showers and storms coming this afternoon. 

Like the last couple days, the activity will be scattered across the region, but some localized areas could see rain for a good portion of the day. 

There will be a small threat for some localized, mainly minor flooding issues if a particular downpour remains in the same place too long, or if a given location sees multiple downpours throughout the day.

Winds will be from the north at around 5 mph. Temperatures will again be held in check by these winds and the ample cloud cover. Highs are likely to be near or just under 70 degrees.

Tonight, showers will gradually diminish but may not totally end until late at night. Nighttime temperatures will retreat through the 60s and into the 50s.

Sunday: Sun and clouds. A couple isolated showers or storms. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs in the low 70s.

Monday: Sun and clouds. Very low chance for an afternoon shower. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs in the low 80s.

Tuesday: Sun and clouds. A few afternoon showers and thunderstorms possible. Morning lows in the mid 60s. Afternoon highs in the mid 80s.

Wednesday: Rain showers likely. Morning lows in the mid 60s. Afternoon highs in the low 80s.
