A quieter, less humid day is ahead for Cortland County in the wake of yesterday’s cold front.

Clouds will likely remain thick through the morning hours. A few brief showers or areas of drizzle will also be possible. The later in the morning, the lower the chances for rain will get.

Some sunshine will work out between clouds during the afternoon, gradually becoming more common. Again, the later in the day, the more the sunshine should become.

Winds will be lightly from the north-northwest. Wind speeds will be near 5 mph and gusts will be under 20 mph.

Temperatures will reach a high in the mid 70s with dewpoints near or just under 60.

Skies will continue to clear this evening and may become mostly clear for a time. After midnight, though, new clouds will begin to work in from the southwest.

Evening temperatures will drop through the 60s, ending up near or just under 60 degrees by Sunday morning.
