Students from Cortland County compete in Clay Target League Nationals

High School students from Cortland County competed in the 2021 USA High School Clay Target League National Championship in Mason, Michigan over the weekend.

Mason Allen of McGraw High School was the lone competitor out of the county to qualify for the championship finals. Allen placed 239th with a score of 95 in the individual qualifier. In the finals, he took 215th with a score of 94.

Results from the rest of the McGraw High School students are as follows:

  • Blake Bergey came in 503rd with a score of 92
  • Benjamin Stull placed 607th with a score of 91
  • Blake Weeks finished 660th with a score of 90
  • Jaydon Bassett came in 1,120th with a score of 84
  • Lucas Allen placed 1,130th with a score of 84
  • Zander Weeks finished 1,411th with a score of 78
  • Lindsey Watrous took 1,620th with a score of 68

 

Kyle VanWagenen of Cincinnatus finished 1,383rd with a score of 79.
