A quiet, sunnier day is ahead today as high pressure passes through the region.
Sunshine will mix with fair weather clouds throughout the day. Precipitation will be limited to a few widely scattered showers and storms this afternoon.
Whatever manages to develop will be small, so most areas will not see rain. Those that do should only see a brief period of rain. No severe weather or flooding is expected.
Skies will clear this evening with valley fog developing overnight. The fog may be thick come Tuesday morning.
Winds will be light from the northwest during the day with speeds around 5 mph. Tonight, the wind will shift to the southwest with speeds near or just under 5 mph.
Temperatures will be comfortable with highs in the upper 70s. Dewpoints will be a bit elevated, but not as high as they have been recently. Most of the day will have dewpoints in the low and mid 60s.
Tonight, temperatures will drop back into the 60s with low 60s overnight.
