New York State Police are investigating a fatal motorcycle accident that occurred in the city of Cortland on July 25, 2021.
A motorcyclist crashed near the Port Watson bridge in the city of Cortland just before 1:00 a.m. The motorcyclist was involved in a police pursuit with members of the City of Cortland Police Department and Cortland County Sheriff’s Deputies at the time of the crash.
The motorcyclist is identified as Casey J. Stockton, age 26 of Harford, NY.
The area was shut down for most of the morning for the investigation. It was re-opened around 11:30 a.m.
The investigation is on-going.
