A quiet, cooler day is ahead behind a cold front that moved through overnight.
Clouds and a few stray showers will linger through the morning hours. The later in the morning, the less the chance for rain and the great the chance for some sun.
Sunshine will increase more substantially this afternoon. Some of the sunshine will be hazy with a bit of wildfire smoke, but skies are not expected to be as smokey as they were in recent days.
A gentle north wind will blow in the wake of the front with speeds around 5 mph. Top gusts will only be near 15 mph.
Nonetheless, the wind will have a cooling impact with daytime highs in the mid 70s.
Skies will be mostly clear this evening and through the overnight, though fog will likely develop in the favored locations by dawn. Nighttime temperatures will slowly drop through the 60s and end up in the upper 50s.
