Low pressure will slowly depart the area today, leaving behind gradually clearing skies and some cool temperatures.

Showers will be possible through the morning hours but will become fewer and fewer with every passing hour. Most areas should be rain free by the late morning to midday hours.

Clouds will be thick through the morning and only a few breaks of sun area expected by the early afternoon. During the mid to late afternoon, the sunshine will become more abundant.

A steady northwest wind will blow at 10-15 mph throughout the day. Top gusts will reach about 30 mph this afternoon.

The lingering clouds and northwest winds will hold temperatures down. Highs will mostly be in the upper 60s, though some of the higher elevations in the north may stick closer to 65 degrees.

Skies will become clear tonight and wind speeds will drop. Temperatures will tumble back into the 50s and should end up close to 50 degrees by Saturday morning.
