Cortland Weather Outlook: Saturday, August 7

Your Cortland County weather forecast for Saturday, August 7, 2021:

The weather today will have some differences from the last few days.

A deck of thin clouds moved in overnight and will stick around for much of the day.

Sunshine will filter through this cloud layer with varying success throughout the day. Beneath the thin clouds, some fair weather clouds will bubble up for the late morning and afternoon.

The chances for rain will be greater than the last few days, but still not very high. A completely dry day is much more likely than seeing any rain at all, and even if it does rain, it will only be for a brief time.

Southwest winds will blow at 5-10 mph, leading to an increase in temperatures and humidity. Highs will reach the mid 80s this afternoon with dewpoints pushing into the low 60s.

Thin clouds will linger into the first part of the night but will eventually dissipate. It will remain plenty warm and muggy with overnight temperatures remaining well into the 60s.

Here is a look at the weather for the next several days:

Sunday: Partly cloudy with a few afternoon showers possible. Morning lows in the mid 60s. Afternoon highs in the low 80s.
